Top Hit Songs – December 2009 Issue
Posted on 01. Jan, 2010 by Bunsoi in Hit Songs Monthly Issue
Here’s the Top 10 hit Songs for 2009 finale article featuring all the songs which received a good feedback from the rest of the music lovers worldwide.
1. Tik Tok – Kesha
Being the party-goer that I am, I love how Kesha able to pull the actual party feeling in the song about hitting the clubs and partying with friends. The song started with her preparations after waking up in the morning and the song continued until she was at the party venue.
Tik Tok is indeed a catchy club pop song which of course, also includes drinking and partying.
Now, you might ask who Kesha is. One thing that I know is that Flo Rida and Ke$ha sang the hit song Right Round.
2. Empire State of Mind – Jay Z and Alicia Keys
I didn’t really like this song when I first heard it because I’m not really a fan of hard rap lyrics. And honestly, I only like listening to the part of Alicia Keys (chorus) and the fact that this song is also number one in worldwide famous song chart Billboard(dot)com made this song to debut in number 2 in Bunsoi Magazine’s 2009 Hit Songs monthly series.
3. Lady Gaga – Bad Romance
This song and its music video is ammmmaaaaazzzinggg. This song, just released October 27, 2009 has immediately caught the attention of the public. This is her first track off from her latest album The Fame: Monster which is actually just a reinvention of the album that catapulted her to global stardom, The Fame. She also performed this song in one episode of Gossip Girl Season 3.
Surely, Lady Gaga is living up to her name as she never failed us, as her fans and followers are still going gaga over her.
4. It’s Gonna Make Sense – Michael Learns to Rock
Ok. I’m not a fan of Michael Learns to Rock, but this song became my LSS for the past few wees now. First heard this song in the hit Philippine reality show Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. It’s Gonna Make Sense is always played when one housemate leaves the house. The song is perfect for those type of emotional moments, and therefore is also perfect for the heartbroken ones. tsk3.
5. Record Breaker – Sarah Geronimo
This type of song, I believe is Sarah’s FIRST. I mean, her fans are used to her songs which are of the mellow genre. I first heard this song in Sarah Geronimo’s Sunsilk commercial. At first, I didn’t recognize that Sarah herself was singing the song because I wasn’t used to Sarah singing a song of RnB genre. But, she was able to pull it off. I hope she makes songs of this type in the near future. With this song, she appeared to me as though she will become the Philippines’ Britney Spears/Rihanna/Beyonce/Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga all in one pop star. Kudos to you, Sarah!
7. Party in the USA – Miley Cyrus
I have to admit that when I saw the music video for this song, I was a bit disappointed. Because I thought Miley would be smart enough to tell her producers to create a really party-ish like of music video for this party-ish type of song. Got the point? Nevertheless, it was still a really nice song.
8. My Love is Here – Erik Santos
Another song that I’ve been currently listening the past few weeks. My first love, who has never realized how much love I can offer. Hahayss.. Hey, don’t you know my love is here? Toink.
9. Tell Me Your Name – Christian Bautista
Here’s another hit mellow song from one of the Philippines balladeer, Christian Bautista. One thing that I love about this song is how Christian made the song appear so light and fresh. I fell in love with this song when I was trapped in an almost the same situation. Meeting someone whom I, almost fell in love with. SShh..
10. 3 – Britney Spears
A newly-released song off from her newest compilation of Singles album. Great and hot video and super nice song! But, it isnt really popular here in the Philippines today because this was just released last September 2009. This song was well-criticized also for its explicit theme, just like Britney’s If U Seek Amy song before.
Anytime this week, I’ll be releasing the article Top 10 Hit Songs – A 2009 Round Up article for all avid music fans.
So, keep tabs!
