The following songs made it to our monthly hit songs list:

1. 3 – Britney Spears

A newly-released song off from her newest compilation of Singles album. Great and hot video and super nice song! But, it isnt really popular here in the Philippines today because this was just released last September 2009. This song was well-criticized also for its explicit theme, just like Britney’s If U Seek Amy song before.

2. Sweet Dreams – Beyonce

I had confusions at first upon hearing this song. My friends told me the title of this song is Beautiful Nightmare, but, apparently, it’s Sweet Dreams. It took us a couple of days to figure it out.

3. 21 Guns – Greenday

I first heard this song one boring and exhausting evening when I was on my way home. From the band that brought us “Wake Me Up When Septembers Ends”, Greenday now has another hit song to boot!

4. Stuttering – Mario

Mario is not THAT popular, but this song will surely contribute a big portion for his global stardom. A really cool song, and reminds me of the Neyo type of music.

5. Love and Sex and Magic – Ciara

Perfect disco song.

6. SheWolf – Shakira

Nice song complemented with a really hot and sultry music video!

7. Starstruck – Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has another song under her belt, and ready to follow Poker Face and Paparazzi’s fame. Woot!

8. Paparazzi – Lady Gaga

Funny and really nice song and music video.

9. You Belong with Me – Taylor Swift

This is Swift’s second entry to the August 2009 hit songs issue. Why not? This song is so great that I keep on singing this even when going to bed. Woot!

10. Hatin’ on the Club – Rihanna

I first heard of this song when this was sung by my favorite local singers Toni Gonzaga, Karylle and Nikki Gil on their Sunday variety show ASAP. The girls is more popularly known as ASAP Dlite. Really nice song!
