AH1N1 Flu Virus Enters the Philippines

Posted on 27. May, 2009 by Bunsoi in Uncategorized

The AH1N1 virus finally enters the region of the Philippines. There were a lot of reported cases about the virus’ presence in some visitors to the country and even those OFW balikbayans.

To clear previous confusions about the deadly virus that is fast-spreading country by country, the AH1n1 is THE SAME with the swine flu virus. To be more exact, it is now officially called as the Influenza AH1N1 Virus.

According to the latest reports from national TV, there were already confirmed cases. But the thing is, it turned out be ordinary flu, and the deadly virus itself.

To date, there are a lot of suspected A H1n1 flu virus carriers but are currently being quarantined in various DOH satellite stations in the Philippines.

It’s a bit difficult to tell stories are big as this. So I’ll just give you the links to stories straight from some of the authorities.

there’s nothing we can do about this AH1N1, we have to be clued-up that this disease has no CURE since it is a VIRUS. No drugs can slay VIRUS, except our own IMMUNE SYSTEM in which everyone of us HAS it. We should remember that VIRUS are self-limiting organisms, no cure for it. We can only alleviate those symptoms, but not the disease itself. So, we can do nothing except WASHING HANDS, AVOID CROWDED PLACES, use HANDKERCHIEF to protect urself and others, and most of all KEEP UR BODY HEALTHY(eating nutritious foods to provide our body a natural vitamins and minerals-not the synthetic one or those OTC and regular exercise)..

    tnx

    keep GOD at the center….

Let’s try and keep a level head about this virus and not go crazy running around like headless chickens.

“Deadly” swine virus is a relative term. Please do not regurgitate what sensationalized news you pick up half assed off the TV or internet. This only scares people without due cause.

Influenza AH1N1 or “swine flu” is simply like any other case of flu. You have a 99.5% chance of recovering from it UNTREATED.

Simply do what you normally do with any cold or flu case. Drink plenty of fluids, have plenty of rest and monitor your temperature. In case you DO have a high fever lasting more than a couple days, call your doctor or hospital though.

In fact, out of more than 1000 cases of swine flu in the country, only one has died (the first in Asia too.) See? For the Philippines, you have a 99.9999% chance of surviving UNTREATED.

It must be cautioned however that high risk groups such as children under 12 or adults over 65, as well as immune compromised individuals (AIDS, recently operated on or transplants) have a higher risk with this disease (much like any other infection).

So please, we still have to be careful, so drink your vitamins and practice good hygiene. But there is no need to be scared of this.
