T2 – Another Horror Movie from Star Cinema

Star Cinema, one of the most popular movie producers in the Philippines, has yet another horror movie in their pockets, and that is T2 or Tenement 2. Star Cinema is known producer of high-quality movies which also do good in the box-office. Horror movies like Sukob and Feng Shui of Kris Aquino are two of the most profitable horror movie Star Cinema has ever produced.

According to an article from the Mukamo Website,

T2 refers to Tenement 2, one of the buildings in FTI located in Taguig City where some of the scenes were shot. In the movie, Maricel plays a Save an Orphan Foundation volunteer who brings an orphan home only to discover that the girl comes from a family of “engkantos.”

For those who weren’t able to catch the trailer premiere last Sunday, here’s the video from sChiZoO014 of YouTube.

If I am to base from their teaser trailer, it’s not really that frightening. Or maybe it’s just because of too much expectation from me. Well, why shouldn’t I expect? The production is composed of Star Cinema staff and the directorial job is held by no less than Chito Rono, one of the best directors in the country.

I find the graphics of their “rats-something” too crappy. Too childish. It wasn’t able to bring the elements altogether, just like what Chito Rono did with Sukob and Feng Shui. It’s not that I’m expecting it to be like the past two blockbuster movies, but just hoping that it will also be able to get the “unique frightening effect” that Sukob and Feng Shui has.

Well, here’s hoping for another blockbuster movie from Star Cinema. I will still try my best to watch this T2 film. What do you think guys?

    i have watched the trailer sa sinehan. i was actually excited of seeing maricel soriano doing a horror film. kaso nga lang, parang its not so much of a horror. ata. hehe. for me lang. pero ive got to watch it first before giving my complete comment. hehe.

    I agree na if I am to base solely from its trailer, the movie isn’t really that terrifying.
    Pero well, let’s give it a try then.
