ECE Board Exam Leakage

The results of the PRC ECE or Electronics and Communications Engineering Board Exam (March 2009) will be announced tomorrow. But a number of takers of the said ECE Board Exam has exposed to the public via TV Patrol World earlier that there’ve been a leakage distributed by a test review center based from Manila prior to the board exam.

I was informed about this issue when a friend of mine texted me and also requested me to blog about it, asking for help to let the public know about the said board exam leakage and perhaps, this would force the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) to delay or even stop the announcement of the most-awaited exam results for the new ECE graduates.

I know this is a very ridiculous idea that I’d be able to help to stop the commission about announcement of the exam results, but I hope that this issue would be brought to the consciousness of the committee of PRC which handles talks about the said exam. AND if there really is a leakage of the ECE Board Exam (March 2009), I hope this will be addressed properly by PRC.

Anyways, I wouldn’t be posting any Board Exam results of the ECE here tomorrow, March 31, 2009 since that topic wouldn’t fall on this blog’s niche. However, you can google the results tomorrow for your convenience.

Thanks and here’s hoping that this PRC Board Exam results leakage will be addressed properly.

    I don’t have concrete evidences Syncopath.
    But if you were able to watch TV Patrol World yesterday, then you would have known that there were several students who allegedly had the copy of the said leakage, and it was even presented on the media.

    Hi im one of the reviewee’s from excel. For me the accusation is true, there was a leakage. I think 50% of GEAS and EST was projected in the pwt presentation. Unfortunately I didnt passed the board due to the other subject, I am hoping that I am one of the conditional examinee this coming october. I am also in favor of retaking the board exam in order to be fair to all the people who spends their time in reviewing. They projected us I think 2k questions in each subject namely (EST and GEAS) and lots of question in the actual board exam is “LOOKS FAMILIAR” that was our term in excel we called when we saw a falmiliar question. I am not against excel, all i am saying is the truth. (this is only my opinion please respect it) Thank you

    Pano mgging leakage un e normal lang nmn kpg final briefing e nagpapakita ng mga probable items na lalabas sa board exam.. Based on predictions un ng review center kasi may pool of questions ung exam.. During the day of exam, psy war nmn ung gngwa ng mga maaga magpasa at mga nagpaparinig na madali ung exam..

    hi guys. i dnt know if the acquisition about leakage is true, and base on my experience last board, bakit first day palang ng exam e alam n ng iba ano lalabas, na CONSTANT, wala gaano computation, and wla theory ang lalabas sa COMS e second day palang un!?…hmmp… i dont think so kung nagpahula sila sa quiapo at tinanong ano lalabas s exam at nahulaan nmn ng manghuhula?!… ganun b kya ginawa nila… believe it! s rum namen aga nila natapos, o kya talagang halimaw cla at naaral nila un…4 those n pumasa congrats! i believe u did ur best to pass d board exam… at sa mga di pumasa congrats n din d man pinagpala at least u did ur part and ur best. di pa ngaun yung swerte malay mo bka dis october papasa kna.

    ang mahalaga dito, maipakita sa NBI ang nilalaman ng flash na yan. o kaya, kung binura na nila dahil sobrang takot, ibigay kung ano anong books ang naging source nila para mai-flash yun. malamang may source sila kung saan nanggaling yun.

    I have to say that I was a bit shocked with your details. When it first came out on TV Patrol, I didn’t really believe it but eventually blogged about it because a friend asked me to do so.
    Anyways, I’m neither an ECE board exam taker nor any personality related to ECE for that matter, and I know that I don’t have the credibility to really talk and discuss about this issue, but I have a question and a really serious one:
    RAJ: Are you really sure that there was a leakage of the said ECE board exam? So that we’ll be able to clarify this issue and eventually would reach the authorities for investigative reports’ sake.

    Anyways, I just hope that this board exam leakage controversy will be cleared as soon as possible so that everybody will meet at the center and settle the issue altogether.

    About the manghuhula issue: LOL. Serious na ang issue at bigla nalang akong natawa, hehe.
    O nga naman. I don’t think PRC is reconsidering for a retake of the said exam. I don’t think you guys still have a choice, but to patiently wait for another exam this October, right?

    I agree. But the problem is, mahirap maglabas ng source kung ang pang-gagalingan ng source ay “nagtatago” na rin. Mahirap hanapin ang mga bagay o taong ayaw magpakita. If you know what I mean, hehe. :-)

    things to know:

    1. Know the case first. (..if it is a case..? if not, don’t expand it )
    2. try to figure out the causes, or bases of the case. (If it is something to be eared or not..)
    3. try to know the people involved beyond the case. (other’s may probably pretending to be a part of it… but not!)
    4. untrue “gossip and viewing” may fully affect the entire event.

    it is just a comment that soothed generally…

    I’m a reviewee of excel here in cebu.. i also reviewed last sem at acer or padilla review center.. i didnt take the ece bord last october because i wasnt prepared especially sa math.. but modesty aside, i did pass this march ece bord exam..

    to tell u frankly before i enrolled at excel, i was already informed about excel’s coaching really helps a student. those persons who informed me were my college friends at usc-tc and they too passed the bord. for me (im not pro-excel, in reality i despise them for their money-making schemes) but its not fair to say that excel is the sole culprit here.. other review centers also have their “trusted” coaching so to speak. but my attitude in taking the bord was to pass with hardwork, prayer and right strategy PLUS coaching.. (in short bonus lang yang coaching). it just so happened that there were lots of LOOKS FAMILIAR questions sa EST and GEAS subjects that came out on the board.. but maybe on the next bord exam only a few of the coaching slides will come out.

    but anyways, i was disappointed on the exams given by ENGR. MARCELO examiner of geas and est subjects because there were lots of “trivial questions”.. lots of standards came out on the est exam that were not even discussed during college and even the “review part” of the review center.

    but I have to tell you future takers, THE EXAM itself is NOT an IDEAL exam. so just do your best in taking the exam.. and also do not forget prayers. believe me they work as long as your intentions are true and from the heart. (fyi, i prayed to sto. nino and st.jude) i believe they really did help, in my case.

    (haaay… naku kana jud mga nag.rally3x.. i dont pity them, i dont sympathize with them) if you think “leakages” yung nakita ninyu sa tv patrol, ur so wrong. true, i had one of those notes but they cannot be considered as “solid evidences” of leakage because they only contained formulas.. what if you are given a certain problem and you do not know how to apply or when to use such formula? at eto pa, those mga nag.present na evidence nila, bakit naka.highlight yun? hmm.. yung isa na pinakita sa tv patrol with solutions, that did not come from excel. i guess they fabricated that one just to make the tv viewers believe na totoo yung “solid evidences” nila.. tsk3x.. if you ask me the aces were in the final coaching. if i failed in the exam (which i thought i would fail because i didnt really practice my math a lot), i would accept defeat even if naa pay leakage or wala. ideally pod 30% will only pass as what excel told us, some of us will pass, some of us will fail, some will be conditional.

    basta its over. i hope they can move on esp sa mga hindi sinwerte.my advice to them is to plan the right strategy in taking the bord exam and to think immediately whether they will take this october bord or not. think straight. thinking na gusto and then ayaw in the middle will cost you. like what happened to me last year. losing that confidence.

    scheduling
    right study materials
    and…
    “know you can do it, dont just believe you can do it” sabi ni kobe bryant.. hehe..

    Hi there, sir, ma’am. If may I, would anyone can give some advice what’s the ECE board exam is mostly like to be as of today?. Is it that hard?. Kasi mga sir, at ma’am na nakapasa ng board ngaun sa ECE, gusto ko lang sana humingi ng advice to get me back on the right track. I’ve took my ECE board exam last 2006 pa, unfortunately I’ve failed. Now I’m planning to take my ECE Board Exam again. But the problem is I’m clueless about the new exam. I really need some of your opinions and advice on what to do. I really hope some lisence ECE out there can offer some time for me to expedite and let me get myself confidence back
